We will be holding our saturday Free Skool Biology class in PR Springs this weekend as well.

Soap-making Workshop January 27!

We are looking forward to a soap-making workshop on January 27th. There was an error on the hard copy of the calendar saying that it is on the 20th, please disregard that and let other folks know about the typo. This is an RSVP event. Click on the ‘calendar’ tab for more info.

Updates!

Our regular dates for Safer Spaces meetings that Debb has been facilitating at the Free Speech Zone have been put on temporary hiatus, and the discussions have moved to an online forum!

Safer Spaces is about addressing hierarchies that limit us and create unnecessary danger and discomfort for ourselves, our friends, allies and and everyone else. This includes but is not limited to things like sexism, racism, ableism, and homophobia.

For more information, including discussion about future meetings, please join or email the facebook group. SLCSaferSpaces (at) groups (dot) facebook (dot) com and the web is http://www.facebook.com/groups/SLCSaferSpaces/

Also, check out the designs for our January/February calendar done by Clayton Mabey! They are called ambigrams and they are designed so they can be read upside down and right-side up: try rotating them around and see how your perception of the letters changes. The Jan/Feb text actually reads to say January one way and February when upside down. You can see the way we incorporate these into our calendar design soon enough!

You can check out Claytons’ website @ Custom Ambigrams.com

Update on ‘Joys of Composting’

If you tried to go to any of the “Joys of Composting” classes in December, sorry about that. It was mistakenly in the hard copy of the Always Learning Calendar that you see around town. -Rob

This website

As of now this page primarily gets used to post notices, like when new classes happen, events, or new calendars are out. Alot of the information under classes, contacts, events, and locations is out of date. But the calendar section is pretty much always up to date, so you can generally rely on us. If you have questions, you can email us at slcalwayslearning(at)gmail(dot)com or me at repliroid2(at)yahoo(dot)com.
We will try to do some updates on the other sections of it sometime soon.
The december calendar will be out soon, so watch for it!
